Troop 1 of Bartlesville Ok

Troop 1 is by our very nature the future generation. Our Troop dates back to 1912. This Troop is strongly diverse in every aspect defining the core meaning of Scouting as Baden Powell intended. Our Troop currently makes up three patrols "The Scorpions", "The Dragons" and "The Cobras".  Feel free to browse our web pages and learn about our diversity as a Troop.

Charter History

Troop 1 has maintained the same charter with First Christian Church for over 94 years since the Troops inception. Allowing Troop 1 to assume the oldest charter history for the Osage Hills District within the Cherokee Area Council here in Bartlesville Oklahoma. The history within the troop is rich with culture, diversity, and continued advancement from young boy into adult hood.

Scout Master

Wayde is the 30th Scoutmaster in Troop 1.  Wayde has taken several training courses offered by the BSA such as Scout Adult Leadership Training (S.A.L.T.) and Woodbadge.  Woodbadge Training is the highest training program offered by the BSA.  He has conducted a Scout Adult Leadership training course serving as Scoutmaster of the course.  He served on staff of Woodbadge Course SR 307 as a Coach Counselor.  He was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 1908 that attended the National Jamboree in 2001.  Wayde is a vigil member in the Order of Arrow. He was awarded the Scoutmaster Award of Merit by Cherokee Area Council in 2002. Wayde and his family won the Osage Hills District Boy Scout Family of the Year Award in 1998.  Wayde works at ConocoPhillips.  He is married and has 2 sons. His oldest son earned his Eagle Award in Troop 1 in 2002. His youngest son is currently a Star Scout in Troop 1. Wayde's hobbies are scouting, camping, hunting, fishing, bowling, water skiing, and reading.

Quality Unit

Troop 1 earns the Quality Unit award every year.

Eagle Honor Roll

Troop 1 has had 59 Eagle Scouts since it's beginning, and continues to provide core values and ideals of the Boys Scouts of America to promote leadership for future generations of Eagle Scouts.  Currently under Scout Master Wayde Hamilton 9 Scouts have attained the the rank of Eagle Scout.
